Okay.  I am (over) packed, with all my cutest clothing.  And, for a change I actually *have* cute clothing instead of just cuter-than-a-sack clothing, as I went to the gap on tuesday and spent a LOT of money.  The plane leaves at 4:30, so I leave here at 2:30, which means I have time now to walk down to whole foods and get lunch /food to take with me to Atlanta.  Yay!  I doubt very much that I will be checking email from Atlanta, so, call me/text my phone if you need me or want to get in touch with me. 

Right now the only solid plans are checking in tonight, calling onewomanarmy so she can leave her stuff in the room, and waiting for andrea to get in. ANd then tomorrow it's AQUARIUM!  I haven't even looked at a program yet, so I don't know what I'm going to be doing during the con hours, other than possibly stopping cute boys so I can take their picture (my housemates don't believe there are cute boys at dragoncon.). 

So.  Lunch it is.  Be good to each other, write if you get work.

Also, I saw 11 whales, two of which were babies (and one of them was nursing!). Nine humpbacks, two fin. There was a minkey, but it was on the other side of the boat, so I didn't get to see it. I did not get sunburned, and I also discovered that ciderjack is much less foul on tap vs from the bottle.

Despite the fact that it will probably totally tank me in the 'less weird' poll at chance's journal (though I seem to be doing fine with that all on my own), this is just a reminder that I'm going to DragonCon this year because nothing makes you feel normal like a con full of people dressed like storm troopers.

I've got a membership, and shared custody of a room, so all I'm missing is a plane ticket (which just went up $40 since monday, bastards!), and I'll be all set. Anyone else going? It's Labor Day weekend, August 30th (so we can go to the aquarium Friday before the con stuff really starts) through September 3rd. I suspect that if additional people are interested in sharing the room (if the past is anything to judge by, there should be plenty of floor space to go around) we'd be happy to work something out.
