OKay, I currently have four dead stories. Waking the Dead, and Firing the Dead are both done, waiting for revisions, etc. Feeding the Dead I have a page of written, and Exposing the Dead is just an idea that will include pillar saints and babies. Yes, yes, it's a baby story. Sorry Julian. ;) My mother has suggested the name 'collecting the dead' for when they all get put together in a collection. She's arguing for a percent of the proceeds if I use her name. I'm sensing a theme. And a need for less annoying titles.
And I've started to think about Clanless as a novel--I've got the short story written, and parts of later--chapters, I suppose--written as well. So now I need to take a look at Clanless and see what can be spaced out farther and what needs to be address yet, and where things are going from here.

So, today's terribly exciting writing stuff. Discussed Clanless with Marsha. May end up sticking it back together after all, as I'm simply not getting a plot as it is. I know that the relationship bit is still better this time around than in the original, so I'm going to tackle the kidnapping plot (ideally tomorrow, but who knows) and see if I can't polish that up before I stick them back together. Heavens only knows what I'll do with it once it's redone, being as it was already 8000 words to begin with. I've definitely got some world building stuff figured out--more about Clans, the Clanless and exogamy, and Kiah's class sense. but the class issues are too subtle to use in this story, I think--I'll put them in the next one with Eoin's murder. Good lord, these stories are going to be 40,000 words long by the time I finish with them.

I'll give yesterday's fun stuff as well because I can. I'm the boss, after all. yesterday I played with my Selkie stories again. I was going to play with them today as well, but I got sidetracked to talk about Clanless. Yesterday I managed about 500 words--a good evening for me, except of course for the fact that my 'evening' ended at 3. Can we say, "4.5 hours of sleep" boys and girls? I can't. Not now anyways. :)

So, goals for tomorrow: either the kidnapping plotline or the selkie story.
